What we collect
To prepare your appeal we collect your name, email address, phone number and mailing address, and the address, parcel number, use and purchase history of the property you are appealing. Payments are handled by PayPal — we never see or store your card details.
Why we collect it
Every field goes onto the Cook County Assessor's residential appeal form, or is needed to contact you about that appeal. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
How long we keep it
Appeals we have filed are kept for six years, so we can answer questions about them. An unfinished appeal is deleted automatically after seven days.
Cookies
We set one cookie. It holds a random identifier that links your browser to the appeal you are filling in, so your answers survive between pages. It is not used for tracking or advertising, and it expires after seven days.
Your choices
Email ccpta@ave.nu to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to ask us to delete it. Note that an appeal already filed with the Assessor is a public record we cannot withdraw on your behalf.
